The next set of consonants consist of the "soft" dental sounds given below: 

Though all the above sounds require that the tongue touch the top palate while being pronounced, the aspirations are such that the sounds come out "soft", and not hard like the earlier series of retroflexes . Thus the symbol T is pronounced the way one would pronounce the letter T in the name "TIBET". In Kashmiri the following are some of the words that use this sound:
